I wanted to check in with you and give you a mid-month fundraising update, and I have to be honest: I'm worried.

Over the past few days, I've noticed that our fundraising has taken a dip. If we're going to be able to compete with the national Republicans and our opponents, we can't afford to fall behind this early in the race. We need to make sure we get back on track. There's simply too much at stake to lose Laura's leadership in the governor's office. Everything from a bustling economy, good-paying jobs, safe and reliable infrastructure, and quality education could all be at risk if Laura's Brownback-approved opponent wins in November.

Our race will be one of the most competitive races in the country this year -- Inside Elections even has our race rated as a "TOSS-UP." We can't afford to fall behind. We can't slow down, not even for a moment.
