Dear John,
Huge news!
Three powerhouse unions announced their support for Kenyan today.
SEIU 32BJ, LiUNA and UNITE HERE Local 25, together representing tens of thousands of workers, have endorsed Kenyan.
"We will be working tirelessly in the coming months to elect Kenyan McDuffie as DC’s next Attorney General,” said John Boardman, UNITE HERE Local 25’s Executive Secretary-Treasurer. "Kenyan has been a steadfast champion for hospitality workers."
“The men and women who keep DC office buildings safe and clean have been able to rely on Kenyan’s support in their fights for good, family-sustaining jobs,” said Jaime Contreras, Executive Vice President of 32BJ SEIU. “These essential workers know that as Attorney General, he will keep fighting for them by enforcing the laws designed to protect them.”
“Kenyan McDuffie has the perfect blend of experience to serve as the District’s next Attorney General,” said Julio Palomo, Business Manager for the Baltimore-Washington Laborers’ District Council, LiUNA. “Kenyan will be the people’s lawyer, and he will hit the ground running.”
"Working families are the backbone of the District of Columbia. I am proud to stand with my friends in the labor community and honored to have their support. When we work together, we are unstoppable,” said Kenyan.
In March, Kenyan was endorsed by AFSCME District Council 20.
In solidarity,
Team McDuffie
