Hi John,

For many Chicagoans, the last two years have been exceedingly difficult – especially for our most vulnerable residents. Now, as the cost of gas continues to soar, our disadvantaged residents are carrying a significant financial burden.

That's why Mayor Lightfoot recently announced a city program that will provide $12.5M in transportation relief for low-income Chicagoans, including $50 prepaid transit cards for up to 100,000 CTA riders.

Chicago is a city that is on the move. People have to be able to get to work, school, places of worship, medical offices, grocery stores. This program will provide the maximum impact against soaring gas prices and help make those moves more affordable.

Thanks to the work of Mayor Lightfoot and community partners, we are the first and largest major city in the country to provide this type of relief to our commuters.

By subsidizing the cost of gas and transit, we're helping residents get to work, school, the grocery store, or wherever they need to go.

Will you show Mayor Lightfoot you support this groundbreaking plan by adding your name?

Thank you,

—  Team Lightfoot
