Aaron Ford for Attorney General

john,

Robocalls are more than a nuisance. These incessant, intrusive calls are the top tool of scammers seeking to steal our money, identities, and personal information.

That’s why Aaron and his office are taking action to hold bad actors accountable and protect Nevada consumers.

Recently, Aaron joined a bipartisan coalition of 49 attorneys general in urging the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to crack down on the scourge of harmful robocalls, specifically impersonation scams.

Bad actors try to steal personal information and funds from consumers by impersonating businesses or government agencies like the IRS. Currently, there is no national rule that outlaws these kinds of scams.

john, these calls are not just annoying, they can lead to real financial harm. We need to make sure our attorneys general have the strongest possible tools at their disposal to prosecute these scammers. The FTC can and must act now to protect families from these bad actors seeking to take advantage.

Stand with Aaron and urge the FTC to take action on these impersonation scams. Sign your name to our petition if you agree that the FTC must take immediate action to hold these scammers accountable:
