There’s a big election coming up.
Warren Democrats endorsed four Democratic U.S. House candidates in Texas before last month’s primary election. One of them, Greg Casar, won the nomination outright in the first round of voting. And three more made it through to the runoffs on May 24: Jessica Cisneros, Jasmine Crockett, and Michelle Vallejo.
These candidates are doing everything they can to get out the vote in these critical final weeks — and they need a strong grassroots movement at their side.
So, let’s jump in the fight. If you can, please split a donation today between Jessica Cisneros, Jasmine Crockett, Michelle Vallejo, and Warren Democrats. Your contribution will help send more progressive candidates from Texas to Congress, support our re-election campaign, and elect champions for working people across the country.

Here’s a little more background on why I’m supporting each of them, and why it’s powerfully important that we get them elected:
Michelle Vallejo is running in Texas’ 15th District, where she understands the unique needs of her community. As the daughter of immigrants, a fierce community advocate, and a small business owner, Michelle has the experience to hold this crucial swing seat.
In Texas’ 28th District, Jessica Cisneros is fighting to ensure every person has quality health care, bring jobs back to her community, and restore humanity and justice to our broken immigration system. She knows that when progressives are unapologetic about our values and who we’re in this battle for, we win.
And I’ve endorsed Jasmine Crockett in Texas’ 30th District because she’s also the kind of fighter we need in Congress. She’ll stand up for education, good jobs, and every American’s right to vote and have that vote counted.
Jessica, Jasmine, and Michelle will be much-needed additions to Congress, because they’ll bring the type of progressive voices we need for our future.
I’m also keeping a particularly close eye on their races because Texas will always have a special place in my heart. It’s where I got my second chance at college, for $50 a semester at the University of Houston (go Cougars!). It’s where my Aunt Bee rescued me by moving to help with child care. It’s where I first taught Sunday School and bankruptcy law, and it’s where I began studying how our economy lays traps for working people.
In Texas, I saw what can happen when a person has a fighting chance to build something real. I saw how we can lift each other up. But I also saw what we’re up against: a system where the rules are tilted to benefit the wealthy and well-connected.
And these days, we’ve seen Texas Republicans attack basic freedoms and their own constituents. Attacking abortion rights. Attacking voting rights. Attacking trans children. It’s despicable. We can’t let it stand — and part of how we fight back is by electing progressive leaders, up and down the ticket, who fight for our values.
Jessica, Jasmine, and Michelle will make us proud in Congress. But first, we’ve got to make sure that all three of them win their runoff elections on May 24 — and grassroots donations will help get out the vote in these make-or-break final weeks.
With only weeks until the Texas runoffs, will you split a $3 donation between Jessica Cisneros, Jasmine Crockett, Michelle Vallejo, and Warren Democrats right now? These races are coming down to the wire, and every single contribution will go a long way.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
