This Leadership Weekly tunes into the theme of our spring 2022 magazine—building pro-Black organizations—through multiple angles on how leadership of color is transforming philanthropy and building a pro-Black future. We begin with a report that tracks the growth of donors of color, who are having a field-shifting effect on philanthropy. Next, Shawn Ginwright discusses why Black-led philanthropic organizations are critical if we want to shift current mindsets stuck in old ways of approaching problems, which continually fail Black communities. We then invite you to listen to a short audio clip of two contributors of our new magazine, Liz Derias and Kad Smith, discussing pro-Black organizations.
