The Supreme Court is planning to hear a case that could put dozens of gun safety bills across the country into question.

The law being challenged is a New York City rule that prohibited gun owners with handguns licensed for their homes from bringing their handguns anywhere except pre-approved shooting ranges.

The issue is the new justices appointed by President Trump hold a radical view of the Second Amendment that is fundamentally hostile to gun safety efforts.
