My name is Liz Bennett and I’m running for Iowa State Senate.

For the past 8 years, I’ve been fighting the good fight in Iowa’s Democratic minority in the State House. Now I’m ready to take the fight for Iowa’s families and working-class folks to the State Senate.

Iowa has granted me so many amazing opportunities. A great education, good-paying jobs, and a wonderful community. But for too long, Republicans in power have been working to ensure that these same opportunities are not available to many Iowans.

There is so much truth in the saying, a rising tide lifts all boats. We can only make our lives — and our state — better when we work together.

We can only build a better future for our children when we fund public education. We can only create better economic opportunities when we fight for fair wages and working conditions. We can only lead the country when we push back against divisive politics and politicians who care more about their donors than working people.

These are the things that I’ve fought for throughout my time in the Iowa State House, and these are the things that I’ll fight for once elected to the Iowa State Senate.
