Kathryn Grody and Mandy Patinkin are actors and activists who have been married for almost 42 years. Patinkin is most known for his roles in Homeland and The Princess Bride. Grody wrote and acted in an autobiographical play called Mom's Life. During the 2020 election, Grody and Patinkin gathered a large social media following for their viral videos encouraging people to vote. 

Hi there –

For as long as we've been married (and it's been a long time), we've worked together – and worked ourselves up – getting out the vote and electing Democrats up and down the ballot. Because we know, as you know, how important every election is. 

And this election is no different. The most extreme Republican Party of our lifetimes is on the precipice of taking back both the Senate and the House! If Mitch McConnell regains power in the Senate, he'll work to undo everything that Democrats have accomplished so far – affecting everything from health care protections to reproductive rights.

But instead of rolling on the floor, despondent and shaking, we decided to do something. And that something is helping reelect Senator Maggie Hassan in New Hampshire. Control of the Senate hinges on this seat, and we need all hands on deck.

Maggie Hassan has been a powerful voice in the fight to protect our democracy. She, like us, believes that no matter what your political affiliation is, every American's sacred right to vote should be protected. With our democracy at stake, we can't afford to lose Maggie's leadership.

But here's the issue: There are a lot of Republicans across the country who will do whatever and spend whatever it takes to defeat Maggie and take back the Senate.
