April 13th marks our pre-primary FEC filing deadline. Everything we do between now and the deadline is so important, so I hope you’ll give me the chance to explain why.

You see, all of our numbers will be made public for the last time before the general election kicks off in earnest, including the amount of money we raised and the number of people who have pitched in to support our campaign.

You can bet Mitch McConnell’s super PAC and the Republican dark money network will pore over this report, looking for any sign of weakness.

Our fundraising has significantly slowed this month, which means reaching our goal before the FEC deadline will be a challenge—and we’re still behind. I know we can get there if everyone pitches in.
