I want to level with you today: We are going to have to work harder than we ever have before to win North Carolina.

I’ve won statewide twice before, and truthfully, this is going to be the toughest race we’ve ever faced. The spending from Republican super PACs in this race alone is already unprecedented.

I don’t say that to scare you because I DO believe we can win. I’ve never backed down from a tough challenge or righteous fight. But we cannot let up now.

That’s why I am humbly asking you to please split a $5 donation between my campaign and Gary Peters' before our midnight deadline. It’s important that we have as many people pitching in as possible because it is the only way we can hit our goals and flip this seat.

This team has already accomplished so much. While Republicans fight it out in a nasty primary, Democrats have united behind our campaign.
