John,
Over the weekend, law-abiding Texans received a notable victory
in the fight against local cities and municipalities who attempt
to violate state law by declaring themselves a "sanctuary city"
for criminals.
HOLD THE LINE - NO SANCTUARY CITIES IN TEXAS:

BREAKING: The City of San Antonio agreed to pay $300,000 to
settle two state lawsuits stemming from a 2017 smuggling
incident. Attorney General Ken Paxton accused city officials of
offering a "sanctuary city" for illegal aliens in violation of
state law.
In 2017, San Antonio police were alerted to a potential
human-trafficking incident on the city's northeast side. There
they found a tractor-trailer of illegal aliens. San Antonio
police arrested the driver on smuggling charges, but the illegal
aliens were eventually released. Attorney General Ken Paxton sued
the city for releasing the illegal aliens and not cooperating
with federal immigration officials - in violation of Senate Bill
4, which outlaws "sanctuary cities."

In a statement, Paxton said, "It is time for cities like San
Antonio to wake up and realize their misguided approach to
immigration is not only reckless, but it has also made the influx
of dangerous narcotics and human trafficking much worse."
This settlement signals that Senate Bill 4 is working in Texas.
Unfortunately, it also shows that liberal-run cities will
continue to push the envelope and try to violate state and
federal immigration laws.
There must be accountability for the Radical Left when they snub
their noses at commonsense border and immigration laws. Will you
chip in to help us defeat the Democrats in November and elect
bold Republican leaders who will enforce the rule of law?
