John –

I want to take a minute to make sure you saw the news: MORE than 70 endorsed candidates won their elections last Tuesday!

In the week leading up to Election Day, our pro-democracy and pro-conservation candidates were hit with unprecedented attacks from dark money groups sowing doubt about the 2020 elections and backing candidates who want to restrict access to the polls.

We’ve never seen anything like this in local elections – and it’s only going to get worse the closer we get to November.

Many of these local races were decided by the slimmest of margins: 23 votes, 11 votes, even a tie that was decided by drawing cards.

Every phone call, text message, postcard, and door we knock on makes a difference.

To build on these wins for conservation – and head off more attacks on our freedom to vote – we need to keep our organizing work going strong.

Becoming a monthly member is one of the most effective ways you can help.

Together, we will keep watch. We will raise our voices in unison. We will vote. We will defend the state we love. Please join us today: [[link removed]]

Thanks for all you do for Wisconsin,

Seth

John,

The results are in. We won 70 of the 108 races we endorsed in!

In Eau Claire, a majority of our endorsed candidates won and will continue to grow the city as a leader in climate action.

All of our Appleton endorsed candidates won their races and will partner with our campaign to transition the city to 100 percent clean energy.

In La Crosse County, we defended a pro-conservation majority against heavy opposition spending.

Our success on the Portage County Board will elevate and address clean water issues.

Defeated a fake Trump elector on De Pere City Council.

Despite record out-of-state spending and unprecedented attack ads, our endorsed candidates fought positive, issue-based campaigns. Even in the biggest races with the most money, we were able to fight, shift the narrative, and win.

This election proves, yet again, that every vote counts. Many of these races were extremely close – decided by only a handful of votes.

The extreme threat to democracy and urgency of addressing climate change demand our continued effort and attention. Wisconsin will continue to be a swing state with enormous impact – and in November, the stakes will be only higher.

In these challenging times, you power one of the most active and effective forces fighting for our climate and democracy. Thank you for voting, being part of the conservation voter movement, and for making our state a better place.
