John,
Gender inequality is everywhere, from corporations to basketball courts — and we should have put an end to it long ago.
That’s why, along with Representatives Jackie Speier and Mikie Sherrill, I’m fighting to hold the NCAA accountable for its pervasive misogyny that has led to the unequal system they have today.
We need to send the message to the NCAA that we will not let inequality go unnoticed and unaddressed. Join me in calling for change by adding your name here:
As Chair of the House Oversight Committee, it’s my job to investigate issues like this, and as an advocate for equality throughout my entire career, I’m so frustrated that a powerful organization like the NCAA lets this rampant inequality go unchecked.
And really, it’s a matter of setting the tone for the future. If our kids and student athletes are taught that it’s okay to treat people unfairly on the court because of their gender, what message does that send about equality in the workplace? It’s time to set a positive example for a change.

Thank you,
Carolyn
