These are all states where voters are actively challenging gerrymandered maps in court and demanding fair maps for their states and for meaningful political representation. Many of these cases are made possible with our support or that of our affiliates.

This type of work, and everything we’ve done to advance fair redistricting in these states, has been possible because of the grassroots investments from supporters like you. And I deeply appreciate the role you’ve played.

How the story unfolds in some of these states will be critical to outcomes in this year’s midterm elections and will have far-reaching consequences on our democracy for the next decade.

Politicians who are defending their gerrymandering are resorting to bizarre legal theories that could erode our system of federalism and further weaken the Voting Rights Act.

We must fight back against these threats to our democracy, and our plan will have to be powered by grassroots support.
