Once a year, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) packages our foundational pillars of education, advocacy, support and awareness into an in-person meeting for people across the country. We are pleased to reignite the Convention Scholarship Program this year for our in-person event, YWM2022-Engage. This program makes it possible for any individual to experience OAC's in-person Convention, regardless of personal circumstance.

We don't want financial hardships to get in the way of anyone accessing this experience, so we're asking our community to come together and donate to the Convention Scholarship Program. Funded exclusively by donors, the Convention Scholarship Program gives access to education, advocacy training and lifelong connections at Convention by awarding grants that cover the cost of travel, registration, and lodging expenses. Together, we can unlock opportunities to attend this fantastic event for deserving applicants who'd like to attend but aren't able to due to financial barriers. 

For some people, receiving a scholarship to YWM2022-Engage means learning how to take control of their health to have a better quality of life for themselves and their loved ones. For others, a scholarship to YWM2022-Engage means finding a community of support to root for them when they feel like they have no one else. Sometimes, a scholarship simply means someone can put themselves first after spending time taking care of others. Act now, to give someone the support they need.
