Dear Friend of Challenge Success,

Today’s youth are suffering. It’s time for change ([link removed]) .
* Narrow definitions of success are putting undue stress and pressure on students.
* Students are disengaged, going through the motions, and just “doing school.”
* Adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide ideation and completion are increasing at alarming rates.
* There exists a misconception that student well-being and academic excellence are mutually exclusive.

We are asking for your financial support ([link removed]) to address the challenges facing our kids and our society as a whole. Please join our “It’s Time for Change” campaign and help us fulfill our mission to extend our reach and partner with more schools, families, and communities to embrace a broad definition of success and implement research-based strategies that promote student well-being and engagement with learning.

We know based on extensive research that when schools implement Challenge Success school reform strategies they make a positive difference in the lives of students:

Educators, clinicians, parents, and students agree that there is an undeniable urgency to take concrete steps to make change happen.

“Frankly, we do not have time for a slow rollout, or to take small steps towards a goal like this. With every year passed, there is a graduating class that will not be able to reap the benefits of the ones after them. We as a town and as a school system owe it to our students to create an open and welcoming space where students don’t feel as though their mental health must take a dive in order to academically excel.” ~ 11th grade student
So, please, the time is now - your donation ([link removed]) will benefit hundreds of schools and thousands of students across the nation. A gift of any amount ([link removed]) is part of the solution. Thank you!

With much appreciation,

Kathy Koo

Executive Director

P.S. - Many employers match charitable gifts. You can double your impact to Challenge Success by inquiring with your employer about the availability of matching funds.

Strategies for Student Well-Being and Engagement with Learning
Challenge Success ([link removed]) partners with schools, families, and communities to embrace a broad definition of success and to implement research-based strategies that promote student well-being and engagement with learning. We believe that our society has become too focused on grades, test scores, and performance, leaving little time for kids to develop the skills necessary to become independent, resilient, and ethical individuals. Learn more about our impact ([link removed]) and how to support ([link removed]) our mission. Challenge Success is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Stanford University Graduate School of Education.
