John, do you believe every Democrat running for Congress should commit to reaffirm the Civil Rights Act of 1968?
YES! [[link removed]]
Already in 2022, GOP leaders across the country have introduced 250 new pieces of legislation that directly threaten the constitutional right to vote. Across 27 states, power-hungry Republican leaders are looking to turn back the clock to the days of Jim Crow laws and suppress the voices of Democratic voters, especially voters of color.
We can’t go back and we won’t .
Today marks the 54th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. This day serves as an important reminder about the fundamental values of our mission: to end discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
While we have made progress both as a country and as a party, women continue to face societal and financial barriers that deter them from running for office – that’s how we know the work is not over.
A Woman’s Place is determined to tear down those barriers that Democratic women, especially LGBTQ+ women and women of color, face to this day when running for office.
We help put women where they belong: in positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.

- A Woman’s Place
The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
