John,
Since Congress began last year, there have been several election security bills passed in the House to protect our elections. This includes common-sense legislation like requiring candidates to report any offers of campaign assistance or interference from a foreign government.
You'd think that bills like the Stopping Harmful Interference in Elections for a Lasting Democracy (SHIELD) Act to close this dangerous loophole would easily pass through the Senate and get signed into law.
But again, Mitch McConnell refuses to prioritize the integrity of our democracy over his selfish, non-productive partisan gridlock. We've already seen firsthand the havoc that a foreign adversary can wreak on American elections -- but the GOP-controlled Senate continues to do nothing about it.
John, add your name next to Dwight's and demand Mitch McConnell and his Senatorial henchmen act NOW to stop foreign powers from meddling in American elections once and for all:

Not only is it likely that U.S. inaction on strengthening election security will inspire foreign governments to interfere again in the 2020 presidential election, but Trump has also publicaly encouraged them to do so. This is a betrayal of every American voter who assumes their voice matters at the ballot box. And it's an insult to our brave servicemen and women who risk their lives every day to protect our hard-won democracy.
We must put a stop to it, John.
Transparency, accountability, and fairness are Ameican values, so passing the SHIELD Act should be a no-brainer. Add your name now if you agree >> [link removed]

Michael
