Thanks to our lawsuit, the Trump administration was forced to concede that giraffes may warrant protection under the Endangered Species Act, a critical step toward restricting the import of giraffe hunting trophies and skins into the U.S., which is driving giraffes toward extinction. Facing legal pressure, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service agreed to make a critical habitat determination for the imperiled rusty patched bumblebee by next summer and must finalize protections by Summer 2021.
