Dear Maine Conservation Voter,

Legislators voted earlier this year to establish a Maine Climate Corps . This week, the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee will determine whether or not this powerful service learning program will be funded.

Please click here to sign a petition that will be sent on to the committee. Maine's Climate Corps needs support from Mainers far and wide today! [[link removed]]

SIGN IN SUPPORT OF MAINE'S CLIMATE CORPS [[link removed]]

The Maine Climate Corps will mobilize citizens through formal volunteering and intense service to help build Maine’s workforce and curb climate change.

A Climate Corps in Maine was one of the recommendations in Maine Won’t Wait, [[link removed]] the 4-year action plan to reduce carbon emissions by 80% and use 100% renewable energy— all by 2050 . Now is the time to make sure that this plan is implemented.

Maine's Climate Corps would:
Provide the human power to conduct climate projects on the ground throughout the state.
Help mitigate the negative effects of climate change.
Strengthen our state's communities and support historically marginalized populations facing the impacts of climate change.
Provide much-needed workforce development in the environmental and clean energy sectors

Thank you for taking action today! [[link removed]]

With sincere appreciation,
Stacie
