In states across the nation, anti-abortion legislation is spreading like wildfire, and here in South Carolina, the attacks on reproductive rights are increasingly egregious.

We are no longer working in the hypothetical. The SC Supreme Court already has a 6-week abortion ban in front of it and in the legislature, several bills restricting abortion access have been filed just this year. The downfall of Roe v Wade is looming. At the federal level, we can no longer rely on the Supreme Court to safeguard abortion access– we must fight to protect it at the state level.

From pointing out Republican hypocrisy by authoring the “Viagra Bill” in 2015, to challenging anti-abortion efforts in the legislature, I’ve worked tirelessly to make reproductive healthcare more accessible. We’ve got to take our fight to Governor McMaster’s office and fortify a strong line of defense against anti-abortion efforts.
