Friend,
Welcome back to the March edition of The NEWsflash, a collection of great stories from Northeast Wisconsin over the past month. This past month, I saw just how lucky we are to have people of all ages working to support one and another and make our community an even better place to live and raise a family.
I've included some photos and highlights from a few of the events my team and I were able to attend. You can also find information on how my office can help you with any federal problem you may have. As always, please don't hesitate to contact my office if we can ever be of assistance.

Family Business Booms: This month, my team attended the opening of the Loyly Family Practice, where Tabitha Loyly plans to make healthcare more accessible to our community. As a Nurse Practitioner and mom, Tabitha will provide quality care without the headache of logistics. I'm looking forward to seeing what this kind of practice can do for Northeast Wisconsin!

Here for Our Heroes: A member of my team also attended a Veterans Resource Group meeting at Sullivan-Wallen Post 11 in Green Bay. Gatherings like this give veterans in our community a chance to share their knowledge about the resources available to each other and learn about new ways they can connect with other veterans in our community. We're truly blessed to have such a strong veterans community here in Northeast Wisconsin.

The Future is Bright: The 2022 Future Fox Cities Career Expo was this month, and my staff had the opportunity to learn about some of the many innovative careers open to Northeast Wisconsin students. Over the course of the two day expo, 2,800 students had the chance to connect and network with over 75 employers. It's critical for kids to understand all the opportunities available them in our community, and career fairs like this are a great way to do that.

NEW Eagle Scout: On March 12, I had the chance to attend Jeremy Weller Jr.'s Eagle Scout Award Ceremony and congratulate him on his work in person. Jeremy led a team that constructed four canine obstacles at the De Pere Dog Park, which involved over 175 hours of community service in the process. Please join me in congratulating Jeremy and wishing him the best in his future endeavors.

Moving Upward: This month, Ben Bartolazzi opened the storefront for his residential real estate team, which will serve homeowners in Northeast Wisconsin. It's always great to see businesses like Ben's growing in our area.
|
|
Tech Talk: My staff also attended the 2022 Wisconsin Tech Summit this month at Lambeau Field. The Summit brings together large firms and emerging companies to foster relationships with a focus on tackling technology needs and innovation. I'm thrilled that business leaders in our community are working together to come up with fresh ideas and solutions.

Pipe Power: My team attended an event put on by the UA 400 and Mechanical Contractors Association that focused on helping women learn more about careers in the pipe trades. During the event, a panel of women in the industry answered questions about their experiences while UA Local 400 members gave attendees information about the different apprenticeships they offer in the pipe trades. It's great to see so many people interested in learning more about this important career path.

Supporting Snake: I was honored this month to attend a fundraiser for an active veteran in our community, Duane Pierce, also known as Snake. Snake recently received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, but despite a tough battle, Snake's spirits are high. I'm grateful to our local AMVETs chapter for putting the benefit together and to all the people who came out to support snake. This was just another example of how great Northeast Wisconsin's veterans community is.

|
Buy Better Boots: My staff also had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Boot Barn store location in Appleton. It's great to see Boot Barn expanding into the 8th district!
