I wanted to be sure to give you the news as soon as we had it! I am thrilled that we have named the awardees being honored at this years 2022 Annual Wenger Awards for their extraordinary contributions to women's heart health. This incredible night will be an evening to recognize excellence, honor and express our appreciation for those who support WomenHeart and our mission, and to hear from all of this year's honorees that have contributed to women's heart health over the past year. Without further ado, we are excited to announce this year's prestigious class of honorees:

Dr. Rachel Bond - Excellence in Medical Advocacy
Dr. Rachel Bond is the System Director for Women's Heart Health at Dignity Health and is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine. She is a board-certified attending cardiologist who has devoted her career to the treatment of heart disease through early detection, education and prevention.

Dr. Harmony Reynolds - Excellence in Medical Leadership
Dr. Harmony Reynolds is a cardiologist at NYC Langone and the Director of the Sarah Ross Soter Center for Women's Cardiovascular Research.

Shelley Wood - Excellence in Media
Shelley Wood is the Managing Editor of TCTMD and the Editorial Director at Cardiovascular Research Foundation. As Managing Editor of TCTMD Ms. Wood oversees the editorial team in creating original thought-provoking, and clinically-relevant reporting as well as overseeing other editorial content within the CRF Center for Education.

Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (D-IL-14) - Excellence in Public Policy
Congresswoman Lauren Underwood serves Illinois' 14th Congressional District. Congresswoman Underwood co-founded and co-chairs the Black Maternal Health Caucus, which elevates the Black maternal health crisis within Congress and advances policy solutions to improve maternal health outcomes and end disparities.
