Me in Iraq

Friends -

Whenever I think about some of the hardest times during my life, I’m always thankful that there have been people around to help shoulder the burden with me.

I was raised by a single-mom and had a job from as early as I could work … that wasn’t easy.

Serving in the hardest hit unit during the Iraq War … that wasn’t easy.

When I first ran for Congress many saw me as the underdog and probably didn’t give me much of a chance … that wasn’t easy.

As a kid, I had my mom, my grandfather, my sisters. In Iraq, I had my fellow Marines.

And in these campaigns, I have you.

I could not do this without you. My work in Congress to guarantee health care for all, preserve a woman’s right to choose, protect our right to vote in free and fair elections, and have a rational foreign policy … none of it would be possible without your help.

But that does mean from time-to-time I have to ask. And today is one of those days:

Can you please make a $3 contribution to my re-election campaign? We’ve started the month off slowly with our fundraising and need to catch up quickly.

CONTRIBUTE $3

Thank you again. For everything.

Ruben
