We currently have 3 vacancies for Youth Justice Service Case Managers to join our multi-agency service which aims to prevent and reduce reoffending.? As a Case Manager you will assess, supervise and provide interventions to support children and young people who are entering the Criminal Justice system for the first time and those serving both community and custodial sentences.?
?
As a Case Manager you will work innovatively with young people from diverse backgrounds and engage them and their families and other professionals in order to develop and deliver intervention and activities that support their personal and social skills and promote desistance and resilience.
?
To be considered for this exciting position it is essential that you have experience of direct work with young people who are considered to be at risk. This will include those who are at risk of crime, anti-social behaviour, NEET, SEND, exploitation. You will possess previous experience of direct work with young people and their families ensuring you deliver high quality services and interventions.
?
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
  • A relevant professional qualification in Youth Justice or with one of our statutory partners (as specified in the attached Person Specification).
  • Experience of direct work delivering high quality services and interventions to young people.
  • The ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant criminal justice and children?s legislation, related to young people, crime prevention and restorative justice.
  • The ability to assess risk and safety and wellbeing of children and translate these assessments into detailed analytical reports and effective intervention plans aimed at preventing and reducing the risk of further offending and strengthening protective factors.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and in partnership with agencies to co-ordinate and deliver a holistic plan around the child involving their parents/carers and families
  • The ability to develop effective IT skills.
  • The ability to work directly with a caseload of children and young people to deliver individual support programmes designed to prevent children offending and entering the Criminal Justice System for the first time, in accordance with local and National Standards deadlines and requirements.
  • An understanding of, and the ability to deliver services to meet, the needs of a diverse and multi-cultural community

Opportunity exists within Commercial and Operations for two fixed term positions to assist the Waste Management Service to develop and deliver the Council?s Waste Communications Plan with the objective of promoting recycling and waste minimisation services. The focus will be on improving citizen participation and improving the quality of recycling presented for collection by all householders. Working with targeted communities and neighbourhoods across the city, the successful candidates will lead on promotional campaigns, delivery of behavioural change programmes and liaising with the in-house service providers and our external contractor to improve service accessibility, quality and performance in relation to recycling and waste minimisation.
