I’m the first Latina Democrat to ever serve in Florida’s state Senate. And when I defeat Ron DeSantis in November, I will be the first Latina to ever serve as Florida’s Governor. Can I count on you to chip in?

In 2017 – a few months following Donald Trump’s inauguration – I ran for state Senate after my Republican predecessor resigned for using racial slurs against the only African-American woman serving in the Florida Senate.

It was not an easy campaign. This is a Trump +6 district, but I won and have won reelection every year since. I am a battle-tested campaigner and I’m not afraid of Republican attacks.

I know that building a statewide coalition strong enough to overtake Ron DeSantis won’t be easy. In order to win, we must turn out the Hispanic vote in historic numbers, mobilize Democrats through the I-4 Corridor, and earn the support of swing votes in the Panhandle.

I have the numbers, John. I can bring this coalition together. And I’m ready.

The Economist has repeatedly called me the most compelling candidate in the race, but I need the funds to build a successful campaign around me. Right now, I’m personally asking for your support, John.
