We were delighted to see several commitments to fight antisemitism and support Jewish life in Canada in this week's 2022 federal budget.
Funding has been allocated to support the redevelopment of Vancouver’s Jewish Community Centre, the relocation and expansion of the Montreal Holocaust Museum, and important initiatives to promote Holocaust remembrance and combat antisemitism – all issues for which CIJA has been advocating over several years.

Next week we will gather around the Seder table with family and friends to celebrate Passover. Some of us will see children – or grandchildren – newly arrived or grown significantly since our last Passover Seder together. Many will have questions – not only the traditional four we ask annually, harking back to our historic connections to Israel, but also questions about being Jewish today, in Canada.
We want to facilitate engaged, thoughtful discussions responding to four more questions <[link removed]> we’ve proposed for this Passover.
We encourage you, this Passover Seder, to learn about the issues CIJA, as the advocacy agent of the Jewish Federations across Canada, has been prioritizing.

An insightful analysis of the positive impact the Abraham Accords have had across the Middle East by Richard Marceau , CIJA's Vice-President, External Affairs.
