As the New York Times reported, Our Revolution and our partners at Free Speech For People expanded our campaign to bar insurrectionists from seeking re-election. Our Revolution members in Arizona filed three lawsuits against U.S. Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs, as well as State Rep. Mark Finchem, for violating The Constitution. Here are the facts of our case: Finchem joined the rioters and breached the Capitol, while Gosar tweeted pictures of people scaling the walls of the building with the caption, “The American people are upset.” The bottom line is that all three facilitated a violent attempt to block a peaceful transfer of power — which is foundational to democracy. By the 14th Amendment, they have no place in the halls of power.
Our members are taking concrete action to actively defend our democracy. But we’re up against the authoritarian right and their billionaires, and we need progressive patriots to stand with us in this fight. Legal Effort Expands to Disqualify Republicans as ‘Insurrectionists’
John,
Yesterday, Our Revolution and our partners at Free Speech For People expanded our campaign to bar insurrectionists from seeking office ever again.
Our members in Arizona filed three lawsuits in Superior Court of Maricopa County against U.S. Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs, as well as State Rep. Mark Finchem, for violating the U.S. Constitution by supporting the rioters who attacked the Capitol on January 6th.
We know fighting well-funded right-wing radicals isn’t going to be easy. We’re also taking on Marjorie Taylor-Greene in Georgia and Madison Cawthorn in North Carolina, and we need progressive patriots like you to step forward. Can we count on you to rush a donation to fund our work and defend our democracy from Trump’s minions?

Each of these three elected officials broke their oath of office, and according to the U.S. Constitution, they have no place in the halls of power.
In the run-up to Jan. 6, Gosar and Biggs repeated the lie that Trump had won the election, and Gosar organized some of the earliest Stop the Steal rallies to keep Trump in office.
While Finchem joined the mob as a rioter himself and breached the Capitol, Gosar was taking to social media, posting an image of rioters scaling the building’s walls, writing, “Americans are upset.”
The evidence of their involvement is damning, and Americans should be upset — at these insurrectionists! Gosar, Biggs and Finchem have gone above and beyond to disqualify themselves from ever serving in our government. Donate now and help us make sure they never do again.
The peaceful transfer of power is foundational to a functioning democracy. That’s why our members are taking concrete action to stop our country from slipping into mob-rule and political violence.
Take a stand with us.
In solidarity,
Our Revolution
