Dear Friends, Proverbs tells us that “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”When I talk to LEAD students, one of the things that I consistently hear about is the relationships they built at LEAD and how those relationships have sharpened them in their faith and helped them grow as leaders as they’ve entered adulthood. In addition to lifelong friendships, they’ve also built valuable connections with adults who have served as mentors and counselors during the week of LEAD and beyond. We believe that young people have incredible potential to become bold leaders who stand for truth in their communities, but they can’t do it alone. The next generation of leaders needs to be equipped, and at LEAD, we’re here to do just that! For students to be equipped as leaders, they need to see what leadership looks like! That’s why we bring in speakers, coaches, and volunteers from a variety of different walks of life who are living out their faith as leaders in their workplaces, homes, churches, and communities Young people need peers, and they need mentors. They need peers who can encourage them, build them up, and learn and grow alongside them. They also need adults in their lives with wisdom and life experience who can mentor and guide them. At LEAD, we create opportunities for students to build both these kinds of relationships. We know that nothing can replace face-to-face relationships, which is why our program is personal, practical, and hands-on. We make it a priority to personally invest in each of our students as they build a strong biblical worldview while gaining practical leadership skills and a hands-on understanding of the legislative process! We hope to see your student at LEAD 2022 this summer! Don’t forget that April 18th is the last day to take advantage of our early bird discount!
