John --

It’s simple: Next November, we have a chance to elect a Senator we can count on to fight for North Carolinians. Or we can re-elect my opponent, Senator Thom Tillis, and allow the gridlock and greediness in Washington to continue.

The stakes are too high for us to get this wrong. That’s why in just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign for Senate. Let me explain why this request is so important -- especially right now:

We’re facing a crucial fundraising deadline next week. It will decide whether we have the resources to build the kind of campaign that can stand up to Mitch McConnell and Thom Tillis’ network of dark money groups and super PACs -- or let them buy this Senate seat again .

I’ve seen it happen in North Carolina, and I don’t want to let them get away with buying another election in 2020. That’s not how our democracy should work.

I’m running for Senate because I’m frustrated by the corruption that stands in the way of progress on the most important issues of our time. I know you are, too. The system is fundamentally broken -- and we need to do something about it. So, I’m asking:

Will you make a contribution of $10 or more before our critical end-of-month deadline? Our campaign is fueled by folks like you pitching in whatever you can afford, so anything you can give would make a meaningful difference.

CONTRIBUTE NOW: [link removed]

Public polling shows this race is winnable because the people of North Carolina are fed up with politicians who don’t work for them. And rightfully so.

We deserve better from our elected officials, and we need new leadership in this Senate seat. That’s exactly why I’m running.

Thanks for reading. And thanks for all you do.
