Praise God that one of our partners in Ghana, Caritas, had a successful rescue and arrest earlier this week. Two children are now safe, and two suspects have been arrested. Pray as IJM and partners continue to plan rescues of children trafficked into the fishing industry on Lake Volta.
Latin America
Pray for the Lord to open the right doors and shut the wrong doors for IJM El Salvador in the coming years. Through prayer, the team is seeking new donors, sponsors and partners that will contribute to IJM achieving its goal to protect the most vulnerable in El Salvador. Partners, sponsors and donors are critical for IJM El Salvador’s successful long-term impact within the country.
South Asia
Praise God for the role of local media in enabling change in our project areas. Over the last year, we have seen journalists develop a deep passion for writing about human trafficking, leading to some incredible news coverage on key issues. We can immediately see how these stories impact government officials and push people to act. Please pray this wave of great journalism continues, and that we can leverage all these powerful voices to protect those in need!
Southeast Asia
Praise God that travel within Asia Pacific is starting to open up and our teams are beginning to meet in person again! After over two years, teams from Australia and Singapore have been able to visit their colleagues in the Philippines, and our staff in Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia were able to gather together. Please continue to pray for health and safety as we readjust to the old normal!
