In his “11-Point Plan to Rescue America” Republican Senator Rick Scott plans to impose income taxes on more than half of Americans, and to stop funding certain legislation after five years, presumably Social Security and Medicare.

Team, this is just cruel.

This plan puts lives at risk. Social Security and Medicare are the literal lifelines for so many Americans, including seniors and retirees, who cannot afford healthcare on their own or are struggling to pay rent or put food on the table.

This far-right brand of politics has no place in our government, and why it is incredibly important that Senator Scott’s policies are not replicated in the House. Democrats understand that many Americans need policies that will uplift their lives, not put them at risk. If you are in a position to do so, please contribute today to keep the House blue and ensure this cruelty stays on the fringe, where it belongs.

Folks, make no mistake about it, fringe policies that take direct aim at programs meant to help the most vulnerable are what far-right Republicans are planning to execute if they win big this November.

Far-right Republicans like Senator Scott, who is estimated to be worth over $260 million, do not understand the economic reality of so many Americans struggling to put food on the table. Democrats do. If you are able to, contribute today and keep the House blue!
