Iowa Republicans attacking our schools is, unfortunately, nothing new — from Kim Reynolds’ historic workforce crisis leading to teacher and bus driver shortages, to Republican Senate President Jake Chapman’s proposed legislation that would criminally prosecute and even jail teachers, they have shown us time and time again that they do not value our teachers, students, or families.

Last week, Republicans went one step further when they approved a bill that would siphon money away from public schools to fund a handful of private school vouchers. It’s simple, John: public dollars should fund public schools. If you agree, please sign our petition right away to send a strong message that this anti-teacher, anti-parent, and anti-student extremism is not welcome in Iowa.
