Last week, 193 Republicans voted NO on capping co-pays for insulin at $35, and NO on allowing the federal government to negotiate prescription drug prices.
Speaking for many of the Republicans that voted to let Big Pharma keep gouging Americans, Rep. Matt Gaetz scoffed, “Arbitrary price controls are no substitute for individual weight control … the price of insulin increases as waistlines increase.”
No American should die because they couldn’t afford life saving insulin. No family should be held hostage by Big Pharma profiteering.
We know the solution: Medicare for All.
Frederick Banting won the Nobel Prize for discovering insulin. He refused to profit off his lifesaving invention.
But rapacious pharmaceutical companies disagree, doubling the price of insulin in just the last few years, ensuring that Americans pay octuple what Canadians pay.

To pass Medicare for All and end Big Pharma price gouging, we need grassroots-funded progressives in Congress who answer to the people.
Thanks for standing up.
