I’m proud to say that I recently helped secure $300,000 in federal funding for Mothers United Against Violence and their Victim Impact Project. The passion of the women leading this program is truly inspiring and a model for our country.
Mothers United Against Violence has organized vigils for victims of gun violence in Hartford, provided emotional and mental health support to families affected by gun violence, and helped families navigate a criminal justice system that can be difficult and intimidating. Needless to say, their work is more important than ever.
