Friend,

This afternoon, the Biden administration plans to celebrate the confirmation of Judge Kentaji Brown Jackson to be an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. The Senate voted to confirm Jackson 53-47 on Thursday.

How can we trust a judge to protect women’s rights, when she can’t provide the basic definition of ‘woman’?

The confirmation hearings did more than simply shed light on the nominee’s background and approach to judging. They made it crystal clear that America needs a Women’s Bill of Rights to enshrine the definition of ‘woman’ in law and to protect biological sex as a distinct legal category.

Although Judge Jackson may not know it,
  • RIGHT NOW female athletes are losing competitions and spots on athletic rosters to biological males.

  • RIGHT NOW incarcerated women are threatened by males who have been allowed to transfer into female prisons.

  • RIGHT NOW many young women are forced to share private spaces, including locker rooms, with intact males who identify as female.

  • RIGHT NOW the terms ‘woman’ and ‘girl’ are being eliminated from medical and educational materials.

  • RIGHT NOW incarcerated women are threatened by males who have been allowed to transfer into female prisons.
This isn’t right. This isn’t fair. And it must stop.

Friend, please add your name in support of the Women’s Bill of Rights and help codify our common understanding of the words ‘female,’ ‘woman,’ and ‘sex.’

Before they’re erased.

Thank you,
Jennifer C. Braceras
