Request for Applications: Patient-Partnered Rare Neurodegenerative Disease RFA

Applications due May 24, 2022 by 5 p.m. Pacific Time  

The application deadline for the Patient-Partnered Collaborations for Rare Neurodegenerative Disease RFA is approaching. 

This RFA invites applications from collaborative teams bringing together patient-led rare disease organizations and research teams for 4-year research projects aimed at advancing our understanding of the fundamental science of rare diseases. It aims to advance the understanding of the pathophysiology and mechanistic underpinnings of rare neurodegenerative and neurological disorders.

The awards cover $2 million in total costs for four years for each project, distributed among research institutions and a patient organization. Applications are due May 24, 2022 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Full details here.

Apply to Attend the Networking Expo

CZI is organizing an ideation and matchmaking workshop designed to bring together researchers and patient-advocates/organizations looking to develop a new collaboration, expand their collaborative team, and/or connect around potential projects for this RFA. 

The event will be held on Wednesday, April 20, from 9am-3pm Pacific Time. Applications will be approved on a rolling basis, and the deadline has been extended to April 15, 5pm Pacific Time. Learn more and apply.
