9-Year-Old Girl Goes from Foster Care to Golf Champion at Augusta National
By: Paul Batura
The first round of this year’s Masters Tournament begins on Thursday at Augusta National – but tears of joy were already flowing this past Sunday amidst the blooming azaleas and lush green carpet fairways of the famed Southern country club.
Autumn Solesbee is just nine years old and the winner of her age group in the annual Drive, Chip and Putt golf tournament. She attends Southlake Christian Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Founded in 2013, the free competition brings together the best golfers between the ages of 7-15 who have advanced through qualifying regional rounds across the country.
Each of this year’s victors have a story – and Autumn is no exception.
Prior to being adopted by Donnie and Jamie Solesbee at the age of seven, Autumn spent a good portion of her early life in foster care. But when she was welcomed into her new forever home, she made, at least up until that point, the most important decision of her life.

Elon Musk Becomes Twitter’s Largest Shareholder, Vows Changes
By: Bruce Hausknecht
One of Big Tech’s most troubling platforms for suppressing conservative viewpoints may have just received a big free speech shot in the arm, as billionaire Elon Musk has purchased 9.2% of Twitter’s stock for a cool $3 billion, making him the largest stockholder in the company. Musk has also been given a seat on the company’s board and is already vowing changes to the social media giant.
“Looking forward to working with Parag & Twitter board to make significant improvements to Twitter in coming months!” Musk tweeted early on April 5.
“Parag” in Musk’s tweet is Parag Agrawal, Twitter’s chief executive, who tweeted his own welcome message to Musk.
“I’m excited to share that we’re appointing @elonmusk to our board! Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board,” Agrawal said.
In reaching an agreement with Twitter that earned him a position on Twitter’s board of directors, Musk agreed to purchase no more than 14.9% of the company’s shares.
Agrawal also noted that Musk is not entirely a fan of Twitter’s policies when it comes to free speech.

Radical Abortion Bill is Now Law in Colorado
By: Nicole Hunt
In a matter of just thirty-two days, Colorado solidified its position as the most pro-death state in the nation on abortion.
On Monday, April 4th, Governor Polis signed HB 1279, the abortion on demand bill, into law.
This law makes it legal to get an abortion in Colorado at any time during all 40 weeks of pregnancy for any reason whatsoever. The new law goes even further to deny rights to an entire class of humans – it declares that preborn babies have no rights under Colorado law.
Thousands of pro-life Coloradans wrote to legislators and testified against the measure. In fact, there were over 28 hours of citizen testimony – most of it against the bill.
Focus on the Family sent out action alerts to Colorado friends asking them to get engaged in the process and even testified against this evil measure.
Pro-life lawmakers in the House filibustered this extreme abortion bill for over 24 hours in the longest bill debate in state history. Pro-life state senators also debated the measure – making the case for life for over 13 hours.
Despite our best efforts, the bill was passed on a party-line vote in both legislative chambers and sent to the governor for signature.

44% of Children Were ‘Sad’ or ‘Hopeless’ During Lockdowns, New CDC Study Finds
By: Zachary Mettler
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, and people worldwide were faced with threat of a lethal pathogen, they intensely focused on their physical health and wellbeing, and rightly so.
Government-imposed lockdowns, mask mandates, and social isolation protocols were ostensibly implemented to try to save lives.
But at what cost?
According to a new study, the price of these lockdown measures was high, and particularly pronounced among children.
The CDC reported that during the government-imposed social isolation procedures throughout 2020:
- 37.1% of students experienced poor mental health
- 31.1% of students experienced poor mental health during the prior 30 days.
- 44.2% of students felt persistently sad or hopeless.
- 19.9% of students seriously considered attempting suicide.
- 9.0% of students attempted suicide.
These findings are shocking, and frightening.
The study also found, unsurprisingly, how important it is for children and adolescents to feel close to their family, friends and other social groups.

Gay Disney Employee Explains Why Disney Wokeness Doesn’t Speak for Him and His Friends
By: The Daily Citizen
It is supposed to be a very simple, black and white narrative of good and evil.
Disney is the valiant defender of oppressed minorities against the hateful, bigoted attacks of the Sunshine State’s governor and legislative branch. These evil people have made it illegal to even say “gay” in Florida. But fear not, Disney and other major media voices have come to the rescue to protect all children and “LGBT citizens” from the bad people.
Except this is a remarkably false and simplistic narrative and many in the same-sex community do not identify with it. That is what a gay Walt Disney World employee named Gary Lucia wants us all to understand, and he is as serious as he is passionate on the matter. He published a lengthy and major article over at Substack explaining all the various ways this carefully crafted and intentionally inflated narrative is untrue. It is well worth a full read by anyone concerned about this issue and how it is affecting our children and our culture.
Lucia gives us all a profound education, from his own ideological gay perspective, in how false so much of this narrative is.
First, he explains that he and many gay activist organizations strongly support the Parental Rights in Education Act. He cites a statement from Lesbians United, “Despite what you may have heard, the Parental Rights in Education Act does not require schools to out gay students to abusive parents; nor does it erase gay people and gay history.”
