The DCCC have identified Katie as one of the most vulnerable incumbents in the House, and national Republicans cannot stand her. Katie is known for skewering Wall Street’s executives like Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan. And she has deservedly been called the “the freshman Democrat who’s making conservatives squirm.”
During the 2018 midterms, Katie FLIPPED what was supposed to be a safe Republican seat, making her the first Democrat to represent the district. Ever.
Her background is in finance law -- she’s the woman who wrote the textbook on consumer finance law -- and after her stellar work in Washington to date, she’s been compared to a young Elizabeth Warren.
But look, national Republicans ONLY need to flip 18 seats to take back the House, and they are ALREADY attacking Katie Porter with everything they’ve got. She’s facing a tough re-election in an R+3 district, and the GOP will do ANYTHING to take back control of CA-45. So we need to do whatever we can to stop them.
