He’s called in favors from establishment leaders, brought in even more money from corporate PACs, and leaned on New Jersey’s corrupt political machine to beef up his campaign credentials.
And he wouldn’t be doing any of it if he wasn’t scared of our progressive movement.
Imani is a supremely qualified, dedicated, and proven public servant. She’s an attorney, a veteran community organizer, and a skilled activist who’s been standing up for marginalized communities for years.
We always knew that Payne Jr. wouldn’t go down without a fight. We knew he’d pull all of the old establishment tricks to try to delegitimize our campaign, undermine Imani’s qualifications, and flood this race with corporate money.
But we see all of it for what it really is — blind panic.
That’s why we’re ready to fight twice as hard from now until June 7th to build our momentum, grow our movement, and defeat a do-nothing Congressman who cares more about clinging to power than serving our communities.
