I am so excited to celebrate the historic confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court!

The first Black woman on the Supreme Court. The first public defender on the Supreme Court. Her perspective and experience will be an incredible addition to the bench and I look forward to seeing her sworn in this summer after Justice Breyer’s retirement.

This is a special time in our nation’s history and I want to take a moment to celebrate soon-to-be-Justice Jackson’s incredible accomplishment. Will you add your name to this card to congratulate Ketanji Brown Jackson on her historic confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court?

History was made before our eyes this week. In delivering on his campaign promise to appoint a Black woman to the Supreme Court, President Biden has taken steps to push the Supreme Court closer than ever before to actually reflecting America.

Whether it’s healthcare, voting rights, reproductive freedom, or gun safety, the people who serve on the Supreme Court have a hand in it all – so we need to make sure the people serving on the highest court in our land are representative of who we are as a country.
