Your text messages and phone calls can help dismantle white supremacy. Here’s how: ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Women's March

Since January 6, 2021, we’ve seen a disturbing rise and reorganization locally and nationally of white nationalism – and it isn’t slowing down.

Women’s March is fighting back, and we’re inviting you to join us. On Monday, April 11th we’re hosting our next United Vision Project Open House.

Last year we witnessed the violent and deadly attack on our Capitol and watched in horror as the Confederate flag was waved through the halls of Congress. While we’ve heard elected officials and political figures condemn this event, it’s not enough to just speak out, we as Women’s Marchers must do more.

John, we know dismantling white supremacy seems like a daunting task. We know it’s easier to wag your finger at people with conservative beliefs and write them off. We also know those being recruited into white nationalism are many of our neighbors, family members, and friends. If we don’t have meaningful, intentional conversations, we will never be able to shrink, neutralize, and transform the grip of white supremacy and authoritarianism in our country.

That’s why we’re inviting you to join our United Vision Project Open House. Women's Marchers from across the country will come together virtually to learn about our texting and phone banking efforts to utilize relational organizing methods to combat white nationalism. UVP volunteer leaders have sent over 350,000 text messages to Idaho, North Carolina, Georgia, and New York alone. Your support will have a massive impact as we continue to engage with this critical program.

Spots are filling up fast, so don’t wait! Sign up for our next Open House on Monday, April 11th.

The best way to learn more about the United Vision Project is to attend our virtual Open House. But until then, here’s a bit more about this revolutionary program:

The United Vision Project (a.k.a. UVP) is an initiative, anchored by United Vision for Idaho and Women's March, with partners that include data scientists, communications specialists, and progressive racial justice organizations.

Through text messaging and phone calls, we’re having deep conversations with people who hold conservative beliefs and may be sympathetic to extreme nationalist movements and ideas. With your help, we’ll be able to translate these conversations into meaningful data that will drive our efforts to shrink, neutralize, and transform the grip of white supremacy and authoritarianism in our country.

These conversations may be difficult, but trying to understand others’ points of view is key to creating lasting change. Take it from one of our volunteers, sharing their experience with United Vision Project:

"(This project is) positive, inspiring, challenging. I like that I am growing as a better listener. I also like that with some effort – sometimes a lot of effort – I can get to a place of understanding, not agreeing, their views."

When progressive movements fail to facilitate intentional conversation and meet people where they’re at, the consequences are deadly. That’s why Women’s March is forging a new path forward – because we know we cannot change what we do not understand.

We would love for you to join us on Monday, April 11th to learn much more about this important work, our partners and team, and how you can become a United Vision Project texting and phone banking volunteer, John. Together,
