Donald Trump is bringing together the worst the North Carolina GOP has to offer for his rally on Saturday to try to hold this seat.

In addition to Madison Cawthorn, they just announced that Mark Robinson will be joining them on stage to speak. That’s right, our embarrassment of a lieutenant governor who made national headlines for describing the LGBTQ+ community as “filth,” “garbage,” and “demonic” is getting a prime time spot at Trump’s rally for Ted Budd.

They’re all coming together to get the far-right fired up behind Ted Budd’s “lagging” campaign. He’s proven his loyalty to Trump — pushing the Big Lie and voting to overturn the election on January 6, and now they’re paying him back.

Trump and his pals are going all in to hold North Carolina. That’s why he’s already making his second stop here, and if we don’t have the resources to compete, it could mean he succeeds at putting his hand-picked candidate into the Senate to carry out Trump’s agenda.
