Republican Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona just signed legislation requiring voters to prove their citizenship to vote in presidential elections. The new law also requires newly registered voters to provide proof of address.

This is textbook voter suppression. By making it harder to prove that you have the right to vote, the GOP targets groups who will have the most difficulty proving they in fact have that right to vote.

While Republicans blatantly target older people, students, low-income folk, and Native Americans – and continue to suppress the right to vote – Future Forum Dems are focused on protecting and expanding that very same right. If you want the House led by the party on the side of voting rights, then please contribute whatever you can today to keep the House blue and protect the ballot box this November.

Despite a Republican-led “review” of the 2020 election that found no evidence of widespread election fraud in Arizona, the GOP continues to react to Trump’s election lie by passing extremist voter suppression laws.

Arizona, along with Georgia, Texas, and many other Republican-led states, is just another part of the GOP’s nationwide attack on Americans' right to vote.

We can’t let Trump cronies take the House this November and allow them to turn their election lies into federal legislation. If you are in the position to do so, protect the frontline today and chip in whatever you can to keep the House blue!
