John,

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program -- DACA -- has allowed thousands of children to grow up in the place they call home, pursue the American Dream, and carry on their lives without fear of being deported to a foreign country.

But now, that's in jeopardy. Donald Trump's decision to end the program is being argued in the Supreme Court. Media outlets including NPR are saying the "Supreme Court's conservative majority signaled...it may let the Trump administration shut down" DACA.

Suzan DelBene voted along with her Democratic colleagues in the House to pass legislation that would guarantee a home and legal status for the Dreamers here in the United States. The bill has moved on to the Senate, where it's sitting on Mitch McConnell's desk waiting for a vote.

Join Suzan in demanding McConnell take up the DACA bill and stop this cruel and misguided attempt to deport thousands of people while tearing apart our communities.

The end of DACA would be a crushing defeat not just for these members of our community who are American in every way but on paper, but for the hopes and dreams of all who believe that the United States is a beacon of freedom and opportunity.

In line with our country's need for comprehensive immigration reform, Suzan has always supported an earned path to citizenship for those who are already here, working or going to school, and making positive contributions to their communities.

But now that SCOTUS' conservative majority appears poised to rule in favor of Trump, as many as 200,000 individuals' DACA enrollment could expire as early as October 2020.

We can't let that happen, not now -- not ever. Over 80 percent of Americans support DACA, so it's time for McConnell to side with the people. Sign Suzan's petition today.
