Hi team,

I hope your week is off to a great start. I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you about an issue that is important to me, and is likely important to everyone reading this email.

Last Wednesday, Senator Rand Paul and the GOP-controlled Senate blocked funding for the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.

Frankly, it’s appalling that ANYONE would play politics with health and well-being of the brave First Responders.

These heroic men and women put their lives on the line without a second thought. They ran into burning buildings to save the lives of their fellow New Yorkers and defend our country against the evils of terrorism.

Now, they are falling ill because of the brave sacrifice they made for our nation.

Do you know what else happened last week while Rand Paul was playing political games with this bill? The 200th New York firefighter died from a 9/11-related illness.

We cannot let another individual suffer these consequences while politicians like Sen. Rand Paul use them as bargaining chips.

They were there for us in our most dire time. Now, it’s our duty to be there for them.

Friends, sign my petition today to call on Washington to stand with the heroes and give them the health care that they need and EARNED on one of our nation’s darkest days. >>
