Monday was the filing deadline for candidate petitions here in New Jersey.

A candidate in New Jersey running for the U.S. House needs to file a petition with 200 signatures from registered Democrats in order for their names to appear on the ballot, and I’m happy to report we submitted our petition yesterday with more than 5,000 signatures! 

This makes it official: I’m running for re-election and my name will be on the ballot in the June primary.

It’s great to see all of the on-the-ground support and enthusiasm we have here in New Jersey. We have great grassroots momentum behind our campaign, which is crucial because there are five potential opponents challenging me and Washington Republicans are targeting our district in their efforts to take back the House majority. 

Now, we need to harness this momentum and keep it going all the way through Election Day, and with you on the team, I know we can land this for New Jerseyans.
