It’s important to pause for a moment and recognize when you’re living through history.

This is one of those moments.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has forever changed what the Supreme Court can be. Little Black girls will now grow up knowing that if they work hard enough and commit to their vision, they too could one day sit on the highest court in the land.

Today makes me particularly proud to be a Georgia Democrat. It was our organizers, activists, and voters whose tireless work led to the Democratic White House and U.S. Senate that nominated and confirmed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Our work matters. Today, take time to rest and reflect. Take pride in what we can accomplish, even when we are told again and again it’s not possible.

Tomorrow, the work continues.
