While Americans are facing record gas prices at the pump, big oil and gas corporations are raking in record profits. Last year, the largest oil companies made a combined $205 BILLION.
Did they use that money to keep costs down for consumers? No.
Instead, oil companies are funneling their profits back into corporate execs’ and shareholders’ compensation.
Dutch is doing something about it. He’s co-sponsoring legislation that would tax corporate oil executives' massive profits and return the revenue directly to Americans in the form of an income-based tax rebate.
